Can anyone help me? My husband's mother passed away from a series of strokes, and the final six months of her life were miserable for all of us. She died 3 weeks ago, and my son keeps asking questions like "Where's Grandma? When's she coming back?
What should I say? |

Hi, Jenny -
Our daughter was only 4 when my mother died - and we found that reading stories to her helped a lot. We'd talk about the stories, and she'd share her thinking with us. Kids are smarter than you think! |

Don't know if this should be in the "books" section, but as it's for kids, I put it here. Hope it helps! Every time my son sees a butterfly now, he thinks it's his uncle - wo died last year on a motorcycle.

You ask him frankly that grandma goes to heaven and she does not come back. You can tell him reality otherwise you can give him some books or games, its helping you.

Well, Just tell him that he doesn't need to worry because you will always take care of him. You can talk about stories with him. I know it this is a very hard time for you. It is okay for your children to know you are sad. It lets them know they can be sad as well.
